Haven't Crash Landed Yet: Performance and last days
The last day of the exhibition D41 Haven't Crash Landed Yet by Andreas Brunner is Sunday, 7. June. Performance will be on view on Friday, 5 June at 14h30 and 15h20 as a part of the exhibition. The performance will last about an hour.
Attracted to the defective and the fragmented, Brunner avoids perfection and symmetry. He is invested in the idea of continuous progress and transformation, which nevertheless takes on the manifestation of a cycle. Some kind of spiral movement that doesn't reach any bottom and thus never crash lands.
Andreas was born in 1988 in Zurich, Switzerland and lives and works in Reykjavik. He studied fine arts at Lucerne University of Applied Science and Arts and did his postgraduate studies at the Iceland University of the Arts, graduating in 2018.
The D-Gallery exhibition series started in 2007. Emerging artists, who are shaping the local contemporary art scene, are invited to hold their first solo show in a public museum. Andreas Brunner is the 41. artist to exhibit in Reykjavík Art Museum´s exhibition series in D-Gallery.
