Last days of the exhibition Artistic Inclination by Ásmundur Sveinsson

The  exhibition Artistic Inclination by Ásmundur Sveinsson  will be closed down on Sunday 4 October.  Ásmundur Sveinsson was one of the pioneers of Icelandic sculpture and was first and foremost inspired by nature and literature, as well as by the working people itself. His massive, powerful and sometimes provocative works are akin to the wondrous formations that can be seen in Icelandic nature. But although the visual material Sveinsson used was Icelandic in origin, he nonetheless adopted the main currents in international art as if nothing was closer to his heart.

New exhibition, Yearning for Space,  will be opened on 17 October.

The opening hours at Ásmundarsafn is from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. from October–April.
