Reykjavík Culture Night 2015 - Diverse Programme
Reykjavík Art Museum offers a diverse programme at Hafnarhús and Kjarvalsstaðir for this year’s Reykjavík Culture Night that takes place on Saturday August 22nd. The program is free and open to everyone.
PROGRAMME:
Kjarvalsstaðir
3 – 4 p.m.
Vísnagull: Concert for children
A concert with classic Icelandic children songs and nursery rhymes for children 1-3 years of age.
4 – 7 p.m.
Creative writing workshop
A Creative writing workshop for children of all ages in the Idea Lab. The workshop is led by Markús Már Efraím and takes place in Icelandic.
Hafnarhús
2 p.m. & 3.30 p.m.
Guided tour: Richard Serra‘s Áfangar
Guided tours about Richard Serra‘s Áfangar in Hafnarhús at 2 p.m. and Viðey Island at 3.30 p.m.
1 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Pop-up Café
The inner courtyard of the museum will be transformed into a café for one day. Visitors can enjoy food and drink while listening to live music.
3 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Kunstschlager
Kunstschlager will offer visitors a varied program of events from 5 p.m. at Hafnarhús.
