Artist Talk: Bjarki Bragason and Sirra Sigrún Sigurðardóttir

Sirra and Bjarki will talk about the preservation and documentation of disappearing or extinct vegetantion. Sirra´s subject in the exhibition is the disappearing moss balls from Lake Mývatn, Northern Iceland. The moss balls are now almost globally extinct. Bjarki´s subject is extinct plants, he got hold of samples of extinct plants from Hawaii and is also showing plants he collected from the garden of his relative.

The event takes place in Icelandic. Admission included in museum ticket.
