Hallgrímur Helgason

At the opening of the retrospective exhibition Hekla Dögg Jónsdóttir: 0° 0° Núlleyja on Saturday, November 18, it was announced that the next artist to participate in a retrospective exhibition in 2024 at Kjarvalsstaðir will be Hallgrímur Helgason.

The presidential couple Guðni Th. Jóhannesson and Eliza Reid will pay an official visit to Reykjavík on Thursday, November 23. Mayor Dagur B. Eggertsson and his wife, Arna Dögg Einarsdóttir, will welcome the presidential couple at Reykjavík City Hall and will accompany them around the city.

Fyssa by Rúrí in Laugardalur is active in the summer but in wintertime the work will be turned off on Thursday, October 26.

The glass artwork Glass Dragon by Leifur Breiðfjörður has been brought back up in the Reykjavík City Theater.

A selection has now been made from the submitted applications to show a vitamin D exhibition in 2024.

Yoko Ono celebrates her 90th birthday on 18 February and in her honor, a light will be lit on the Imagine Peace Column in Viðey Island.On this occacion her works will be shown in the new exhibition Kaleidoscope - International Collection in the Reykjavík Art Museum.
