Film: Murder Story
Middle aged bourgeoisie couple lives a loveless life along with their beautiful eighteen year old daughter. The man has a passionate desire for the girl who in fact is not his real daughter but the fruit of an affair of the woman early in the marriage. This leads to tragic events.
The performance Take Me Here by the Dishwasher - Memorial for a Marriage by Ragnar Kjartansson will be on view at Hafnarhús from 9-24 September, as part of the exhibition God I feel so bad. A scene from Morðsaga (Murder Story) repeats in the background, featuring a love scene between a man and a woman, played by Kjartansson’s parents. Family lore has it that the artist was conceived at the time the film was shot.
