Bjargey Ólafsdóttir: Do not let my fragile appearance deceive you
"I Almost Lost It", a new work by Icelandic artist Bjargey Ólafsdottir, is one epic scene of a movie offering a juicy concentrate of human inter-dependency poisoned, spiced or sweetened by jealousy and boredom. In the movie the relationship of a chic couple is modelled with minimal means of expression, but depicted at a hideously slow pace. In the installation format the film is paired with a series of photos taken by the artist during the shooting of the movie, providing another angle to the same material.
