Eternal Echoes: Homage to Kjarval

Artist Stefán Jónsson (b. 1964) has throughout his artistic career made mixed media sculptures inspired from the art history. Recently, Stefán has been studying landscape paintings by the Icelandic painter Jóhannes Sveinsson Kjarval (1885-1972). Through his own interpretation of Kjarvals work, Stefán has made a serie named Kjarvalar, of which each piece is a three-dimensional representation of landscape painting by Kjarval.
