Exhibition Opening at Arnarhvoll − Steinunn Þórarinsdóttir: Trophies

Trophies is a work of art by Steinunn Þórarinsdóttir that will be shown on the roof of Arnarhvoll. The exhibition will be opened Friday, 31 May at 12h30.

Exhibition Opening − Finnbogi Pétursson: Hz

A new work by Finnbogi Pétursson, Hz, will be presented in Gallery A in Hafnarhús on Wednesday, 29 May at 20h00.

Artwork of the week: White Butterflies

This week, we set the spotlight on the sculpture White Butterflies by Ásmundur Sveinsson from 1968.

Yesterday, on Sveinssons's birthday, 20 May, the artwork was placed in Ásmundur Sveinsson Sculpture Garden in Sigtún.

Next Saturday, 25 May at 16h00 sees the opening of two exhibitions with the works of artists Jóhannes S. Kjarval (1885-1972) and Sölvi Helgason (1820-1895) in Reykjavík Art Museum at Kjarvalsstaðir. Curators are artists Eggert Pétursson and Harpa Björnsdóttir.
