Reykjavík Art Museum is dedicating the year 2019 to public art! And we are bringing artworks that grace our everyday physical world into focus in digital spaces. We will devote seven days to one public artwork at Public Art This Week with its information and images. 

Exhibition opening at Reykjavík Art Museum – Hafnarhús, Thursday 27 June at 20h00. Káradóttir is the 38th artist to exhibit in the D-Gallery series.

The exhibition Gröf will finish on Sunday 23 June. The artist Gunnar Jónsson explores his roots in Reykjavík. Jónsson lives and works in Ísafjörður in the Westfjords. 

Reykjavik Art Museum proudly presents a new app where you can access around two hundred public artworks in Reykjavík that the museum takes care of. With this app you can access information on the works, look at images, read texts and listen to audio-guides as well as playing art games.

The last day of the exhibition Natural Elements by Brynhildur Þorgeirsdóttir is Monday, 10 June.
