Ósk Vilhjálmsdóttir: Tiger Butter

In recent years, the Reykjavik Art Museum has sought to connect to the public spaces of the city, and to debate on social matters inside the museum. Ósk Vilhjálmsdóttir is the sixth artist who makes a special installation in A-gallery of Hafnarhús with this in mind. About the installation she says "At the bottom and running in circles. Biting in tails. Are registered on a ship that hangs on fixed strange place. Is this a greenhouse on fire? Or camping tent in the autumn dusk, is anyone there? We have always been on this ship. It has always been hanging around there. Inside it holds animals and humans, a whole world. " Programme: Thursday 6 October 8 p.m. Hafnarhús – Tiger Butter Gallery talk with artist Ósk Vilhjálmsdóttir and Hlynur Helgason artist and philosopher. Sunday 4 December 3 p.m. Hafnarhús – Tiger Butter Gallery talk.
