Reykjavík Art Museum is proud to announce a substantial grant in the amount of ISK 10 million from the Icelandic Climate Fund for the North Atlantic Triennial project. This is a planned collaboration between the museum, the Portland Museum of Art (USA) and the Bildmuseet (Sweden) with a joint exhibition that travels between countries as well as an educational program and publication. The allocation took place at the end of March and the Icelandic Climate Fund supports projects related to the promotion and education of the effects of climate change.

The North Atlantic Triennial was on the agenda of the three museums this year but has been postponed until 2022 due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

The photo is taken in 2019 when the curators of the three museums met in Maine, USA; Markús Þór Andrésson from Reykjavík Art Museum, Jaime DeSimone from the Portland Art Museum and Anders Jansson from the Bildmuseet in Umeå, Sweden.
